South Fork of the Humboldt/South Fork State Recreation Area
This stream leading into South Fork Reservoir is habitat for plenty of trophy trout. The trout limit is one and only artificial lures with a single barbless hook may be used. Below South Fork Reservoir, both trout and bass may be caught.

Directions: Drive southeast on State Route 227 towards Spring Creek (6 miles - 10 km). Turn south on State Route 228. Drive approximately 5 miles until the South Fork turnoff ot the west.
Lamoille Canyon Scenic Byway
Lamoille Creek winds throughout this scenic glaciated canyon and includes several beaver ponds and open, winding stretches of water. Fly fishing for trout is available in abundance. Easy access is provided on this paved road.

Owyhee River
Just below Wildhorse Reservoir it is possible to catch large trout in the Owyhee River. There are several easy access areas throughout the canyon.

Bruneau River
This remote area boasts of plenty of fast water fishing for rainbow trout.

Directions: Drive north on State Route 225 approximately 55 miles (886. km) and turn right on Country Road 746 for 21 miles (34 km) to Charleston Reservoir. Turn left on Country Road 748 towards Jarbidge approximately 7 miles (11.3 km). Turn left on Forest Road 067, which follows the Bruneau River.
Tabor Creek
This small stream offers both rainbow and brook trout in abundance

Directions: Drive east on Interstate 80 to the first Wells exit. Turn north on Humboldt Avenue (Business Loop 80) to the stop sign on 6th Street. Continue north on 6th Street and across the railroad tracks. After corssing the railroad tracks, turn left on Country Road 754 for approximately 26 miles (42 km).
