The Elko Area Chamber of Commerce provides an important resource to the Elko area businesses by helping them develop and flourish. Strong, successful businesses help to boost our economy and enrich our community. I believe it is important as a member of a local business to give back to our community by helping local businesses to thrive and succeed. I would like the opportunity to assist the Chamber to continue to fulfill its mission as an important resource for the businesses in the Elko area.
Jared Martin - Elko Sanitation, Co.

My name is Jared Martin and I have lived in the Elko are for about 2 years now. I recently moved from Twin Falls, ID with my wife and 2 boys (ages 3 and 2). This is the first time we have lived in Nevada, but we have loved every minute of it.
I have been the Site Manager for Elko Sanitation for the past two years. My focus for Elko Sanitation has been to build a strong partnership with the communities we service. I believe strongly in partnerships that go beyond the typical business, “vendor/buyer” relationship.
Over the past 2 years, we have been able to make numerous donations to a wide variety of programs and projects throughout Elko County. Last year, Elko Sanitation raised $500 to go towards, “Shop with a Cop”. The company then matched that we were able to present the Sheriff’s department with $1,000 to go towards needy kids in our community. And because safety is our company’s number one value, we also thought it appropriate to donate $1,000 to the enhanced 911 fund.
We have also been able to donate to numerous programs: Lamoille Women’s Club, Spring Creek’s “Trunk or Treat”, Elko High School Baseball Team, Ruby Mountain Resource Center, and many more throughout the community.
Even though as business owners/managers, we carry the responsibility of turning a profit, we also have a responsibility to participate in the communities we live in. I look forward to working with The Chamber and the local business owners as we collaborate to make Elko and even greater place to live and do business.
Jennifer Linnik - Mann Mortgage, LLC.

As the Branch Manager, we are completely community based and our primary focus is to help our community grow. I believe I could be a great candidate and asset to the Elko Area Chamber of Commerce Board due to my loyalty to our Elko Community. For the past year I was and still currently am the Affiliate Director for the Elko County Association of Realtors. I also serve on the community service committee for ECAR.
Casey Gallagher - Gallagher Ford

I was raised in the family business and currently operate as General Manager at Gallagher Ford. I have strong ties to the community through business and social interactions. Although I am young I feel my work ethic, drive and leadership abilities would lend themselves nicely to the board. Being a young businessman in the community I have a strong vested interest in Elko and the success and growth of Elko for the foreseeable future.  Thank you for your consideration.

Felicia Duarte - Summit Funding

My name is Felicia Duarte and I am a loan partner for Heather Creveling at Summit Funding. I spend my days helping people in the Elko community achieve one of the biggest accomplishments in life, purchasing a home. Not everybody knows how to manage their credit in order to qualify for a home loan. It is my job to help them get their credit to where it needs to be to qualify. I have helped several people do this and get into their dream home. This can take several months and be a bit overwhelming at times. But at the end you get to see the person’s face when you tell them they can finally go shop for a home and it is the most rewarding thing ever. The main reason I am so passionate about what I do is because of the Elko Community. It is the people that make this the nest place to work and raise a family. I want to be a part of making it that way and also ensuring that it will stay this way for my two boys when they grow up.
I know that I would be a great asset to the Elko Chamber Board. One of my biggest assets is my customer service skills. I am a very outgoing and positive person. I have found that to be one of my biggest tools I rely on when dealing with people. When you are happy and willing to put a little hard work into even the toughest of situations it makes everyone around you realize that things are not that bad. I am also very organized and detail oriented. I believe if you are going to do something, you should do it right the first time. In my line of work there is a lot a little details and ever-changing rules. You have to be aware of everything no matter how small. I also have a lot of experience with organizing and hosting events. I know I could help a lot with all the events that the chamber puts on. I would be very proud to be a part of helping our community and hope that I am given a chance to prove it.
Michelli Leedy - Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elko

I would be honored to be able to serve on the Elko Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I believe my diverse background would be a benefit to the Board and the businesses which it serves.
My family relocated from Alaska to Nevada in 2006. I have worked for educational institutions, non-profit agencies, and for profit companies. I was able to donate a lot of time during my 25 years in Alaska to volunteer work and non-profit organizations. I was the business manager for the University of Alaska Southeast – Ketchikan Campus, the president of the board of directors for a non-profit in Kodiak Alaska for 5 years.
I have spent many years in various roles with ecumenical and civic organizations working with municipal governments, fund-raising and chairing various events. I am currently the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elko. I have lived in the Elko/Spring Creek area for 11 years. My various positions with the hospitality industry here have given me a chance to be active and supportive of the Elko Area Chamber for about 5 years.

Denise Goff - Ruby Radio

Denise Goff is an Executive Advertiser for Ruby Radio, helping with marketing and advertising for businesses in the area. After spending many years running her own businesses, Denise knows what the needs are for small businesses and has a passion to help them grow and succeed. She has spent the last 15+ years in the Elko Area and has been very actively involved in the community. Denise is a past board member and chaired the Ambassador Committee for the Elko Area Chamber, past chair for Soroptimist International, and was involved with Habitat for Humanity to name a few.
With her vast knowledge of small business, marketing and her leadership skills, Denise feels that she has a lot to offer the Board of Directors and to our Chamber members and is excited for the opportunity to be part of the board again.
Nicholas Lowe - Motel 6

I am the General Manager at the Motel 6, and have been since April 10, 2017. I have run a couple different businesses in this town and have even tried my hand at staring my own. I’ve delivered pizzas in Spring Creek for 2 years and have worked all over town. I have a good understanding of the area and not being native to northeastern Nevada I think offers a unique perspective on all things Elko. I can discuss anything further in person or over the phone if necessary.
